benefit for al larson

This Sunday the Dakota Cruisers car club is hosting a benefit breakfast for Jon's dad, Al, at the Moose Lodge in Minot. Al is still in a very slow recovery process from the head injury he suffered back in January. It is still hard to accept what happened. Jon and I have tried our best to stay positive and optimistic. We are taking our cues from Al's wife Joanne who has to be one of the strongest women I have ever seen. She has handled the accident and taking on Al's care with such grace. The most inspiring part is to see how strong Al and Joanne's bond of love is – even in his changed state. The breakfast is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jon, Emma and I will be there enjoying some pancakes.
